A.B. Labs builds software and teaches technology. This policy explains what information this website collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

We keep it simple on purpose: we only ask for what we need in order to answer you, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

When you send an enquiry through the contact form, we receive the details you enter: your name, your email address, your company or organisation if you choose to add one, the topic you selected, your message, and — if you started from a course page — which course you were looking at.

You are never required to use the form. You can email us instead, using the address on the contact page.

This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not embed third-party trackers. Fonts and other assets are served from the site itself.

Your browser stores one preference locally: whether you chose the light or the dark theme. It stays in your browser, is never sent to us, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Like any website, ours is served by a hosting provider that keeps standard technical logs — such as the page requested, the time and an IP address — for security and reliability.

We use what you send us to reply to your enquiry, to discuss a possible project, to answer questions about a course, and to keep a record of the conversation.

We do not use your details for automated decision-making, and we do not add you to a marketing list without asking you first.

Enquiries sent through the contact form are recorded in a private Google Sheet and emailed to our inbox, both inside our Google account. Google processes that data on our behalf under its own terms and security controls.

Access is limited to the people at A.B. Labs who need it in order to respond to you.

We do not sell, rent or trade your information.

We share it only with the service providers that make this site and our email work — our hosting provider and Google — and only as far as those services require. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

We keep enquiries for as long as they are useful to the conversation they belong to and to our record of the work. When they are no longer needed, we delete them.

You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner, and we will unless we are required to keep it.

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us using the address on the contact page and tell us what you would like us to do.

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local data-protection law. We will honour those rights where they apply.

This website is intended for adults and for learners old enough to enrol in our courses. We do not knowingly collect information from young children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

We may update this policy as the company and the website change — for example, if we add a service or start using a new tool. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
